What is youth initiative?

Tartu youth initiative project is meant for youth aged 11-19 who want to create a project on their own. Youth initiative project supports events for the local community or the youth.

 

The goal of the youth initiative projects is to support youth carry out their ideas to help them become more enterprising and active members of the local community. Also, to motivate them to find solutions to problems within the Tarty city and community. Furthermore, this project gives the youth their first opportunity and experience in project writing and management.

How to apply?

To apply for the youth initiative project, you need to:

  1. Film a 1-2 minute long video which includes the idea of the project and introduction of the team members.
  2. In the application form, describe:
    • The team who will carry out the project (if the project is carried out by a team);
    • The goal, activities, and schedule of the project (including how you came up with the project idea);
    • The budget;
    • How the project will affect the person applying and/or Tartu city;
    • How the initiative project supports non-formal learning;
    • Who else supports the person applying besides the project team during the carrying out of the project
  3. The application must be submitted at least one month before the beginning of the project.
