Ilmatsalu community center

We welcome you from Ilmatsalu community center!

A place designed for the community, where development, creativity, and collaboration meet.

The Ilmatsalu Youth Center is located in the Ilmatsalu Community Center in the rural area of Tartu, at Järve tee 8. and community rooms

Ilmatsalu Youth Center is open to young people aged 7–19 years. Community rooms can be used by community members of all ages for hobbies and joint activities. It is possible to rent rooms for private events.

The youth center offers diverse and developmental activities where young people can socialize with peers, play board games, table tennis, air hockey, foosball, WildEst, and Xbox, and use crafting and handicraft tools. All activities are free for young people and open to all.

On Thursdays, a cooking club takes place at the Ilmatsalu youth center from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM, where both simple home-cooked meals and diverse national dishes are prepared. Young people learn the basics of healthy and balanced nutrition. For some, it's the first step into the world of cooking, while for others, it's an opportunity to share their knowledge and guide their peers.

At the Community Center , there are adult sewing, handicraft, and gymnastics clubs. Traditional events are held , such as dance evenings, concerts, and quiz nights. In addition to traditional events, one-off workshops, outdoor events, and other initiatives are also organized according to interest and season.

In the outdoor area, it is possible to play disc golf, practice balance on a slackline, use the basketball hoop and the mini ramp. Additionally, the Ilmatsalu-Kärevere bird trail is nearby, which is often used for hiking and enjoying nature.

The Ilmatsalu Youth and Community Centre supports the initiatives of young people and adults, offering opportunities to initiate projects or organize smaller undertakings. Whether these are ideas implemented through the NOA project fund or activities within the youth room, youth workers are always ready to offer mentorship and support.
