Applications have opened for the Tartu Youth work camp!

From today until Sunday, May 15-21, all 13-19-year-old young people in Tartu can apply for the Tartu Youth Work camp.

Among this year's youth work camp groups, you will find various jobs and timings to suit every taste. Young people have the opportunity to work in kindergartens, libraries, strawberry fields, or even as food couriers. For more information about this year's groups, see here: https://tntk.tartu.ee/tartu-noorte-toomalev/ruhmad/.

According to Roosi, a member of the Core group, the youth work camp has given her a lot – various work experiences, many new acquaintances, a tan, and while picking strawberries, she also got her fill of them. “I have learned to communicate better,” says Roosi. Developing social skills is a very important aspect of the youth work camp, fostered through teamwork and joint activities. Group leader Mattias, who has been involved with the camp for 10 years, also confirms that it is the most rewarding summer experience: “You get money, new experiences, and many new friends.”

What to keep in mind when registering for the youth work camp? Firstly, make sure you are registered as a resident of Tartu city. Secondly, when choosing a youth work camp group, it's important to ensure you can participate on all the dates and in all the joint activities of that group. Thirdly, select three groups that interest you the most and fit your schedule. The last and most important thing – be ready for awesome experiences, new acquaintances, and a fun summer!

Still wondering if you should join the youth work camp? Don't worry, registration is open for a whole week, and speed is not important; all registrations hold equal weight.
