Ilmatsalu Youth Center and Ilmatsalu Hobby Center have once again joined forces. Specifically, on Tuesday evening, September 8, those interested in physical activity are invited to Ilmatsalu for a health run or a walk, depending on their ability and desire.
We started planning the health day at the beginning of the year, but due to general caution worldwide, we are also being cautious and organizing the health day a bit more modestly. We made a small change to the route. While we originally planned a run around the lake, the route now follows the light traffic road to the school and back to the youth and hobby center.
Registration starts at 5:30 PM, with the start at 6 PM. Health enthusiasts then move along the light traffic road to the school and then back from the library. At the checkpoint, located by the library, participants receive a raffle ticket, which gives them a chance to win prizes at the finish line. The track length is approximately 2 km, and the fastest finishers will receive diplomas and medals. Since the track can be completed at one's own pace, the event is suitable for everyone. The track is open until 6:45 PM. After completing the track, it is possible to participate in fun team, family, sports, and outdoor games in the outdoor area of Ilmatsalu Hobby and Youth Center. Tea and pastries are offered by Tähtvere Lions Club. A mini-run will take place for the youngest participants (under 6 years old).
Health Day is a tribute to former sports figures of the municipality – Kaja and Rein Raid, who for many, many years led the sports life of Ilmatsalu and the former Tähtvere municipality and organized the running series 'Be healthy!' We aim to transform Ilmatsalu Health Day into an annual day of sporting activity.
Young people from Ilmatsalu Youth Centre also assist with preparations and on-site activities.
We hope for a large turnout!
