Tartu youth centers offer free educational workshops for classes and youth groups

Starting from October, Tartu Youth Work Centre's youth centres offer the opportunity for classes or simply youth groups to attend workshops held in the youth centres' premises or outdoor areas.

The content of the workshops is related to young people's daily lives and learning, aiming to enrich school education with non-formal, playful activities.

The workshops are primarily intended for participation with one's class collective, but groups of friends, organizations, etc., are also welcome. The workshops are 2 academic hours long, and the group size is 10-25 young people. Young people aged 11-19 are welcome. You can choose between three youth center workshops:

  1. BACKPACKS ON YOUR BACK – Ilmatsalu Youth Center

Ilmatsalu Youth Center offers schools the opportunity to learn about nature education in a non-formal way. Through practical skills, they learn about nature, including plants, animals, behavior in nature, coping, survival in nature, and other hiking wisdom.

Register for the workshop: jaanika.palm@raad.tartu.ee

  1. IDEA AS A SEED OF SUCCESS – at Anne Youth Center

The workshop "An Idea as a Seed of Success" focuses on how young people can implement their ideas through projects. In the workshop, young people will learn what a project is and its characteristics, they will learn to brainstorm and choose the most suitable idea from many, which they will then develop in more detail. This way, an initial (random) thought will evolve into a more concrete plan, which, by further developing it after the workshop, can lead to a realistic project.

Register for the workshop: kristina.kraani@raad.tartu.ee

  1. THE MOST WRONG ME – at Lille Youth Centre

What is achievement need/anxiety? How can one cope with it? In the workshop, participants will gain a repertoire of exercises they can use in similar situations in the future.

Register for the workshop: kauri.kaljuste@raad.tartu.ee

To get more detailed information and to register for workshops, an email should be sent to the above-mentioned address at least a week before the desired time.

This means ensuring equal access, active participation, and a sense of belonging for all young people. This approach goes beyond merely taking into account differences in origin, gender, abilities, or orientation; it is aimed at removing barriers, expanding opportunities for marginalized and minority groups, and ensuring their full inclusion in all activities. Inclusion
