The youth rooms at the Anne, Lille, and Ilmatsalu Youth Centers will be closed to youth groups starting Monday, but services for young people will continue. Specifically, the services and activities offered at the youth centers will move outdoors and online.
Starting Monday, no indoor group activities will be held. However, individual activities will be available at youth centers if needed, conducted contact-free and adhering to the 2+2 rule. Outdoors, Tartu youth centers offer activities for groups of up to 10 young people. These outdoor activities will initially take place at least twice a week, ranging from walks and outdoor games to bonfire evenings.
However, youth center activities and services are primarily available through social media. Activities take place on Instagram as well as in the e-youth center, which is located on the Discord web platform. Through Instagram, youth centers plan to conduct games, activities, and challenges. The e-youth center, however, gives young people the opportunity to chat safely and contact-free with other young people and youth workers. The e-youth center is open during the youth centers' regular hours.
