Tartu Youth Work Center, together with four Tartu schools (Forseliuse, Tamme, Veeriku, and Variku), created a game in Actionbound called "Knockdown for Spring Fatigue", which encourages young people to maintain their mental health during distance learning. The game lasts 10 days, with a new game and exciting challenges designed for each day. During the day, five tasks need to be completed, and these are based on Peaasi's five mental health vitamins: sleep, nutrition, relationships, emotions, and movement. The activities are aimed at supporting the improvement of young people's mental health and well-being. This active self-development game helps young people overcome spring fatigue, encouraging them to act, think, and reflect on their activities. The game is not intended to assess young people's knowledge, but to help them remember the most important things in their lives during this challenging time.
How to play?
To play the game, you need to download the Actionbound app (https://en.actionbound.com/download). In the app, add '5 vitamiini' to the search and then choose the game by day, for example, Day 1 Knockdown Spring Fatigue, on the next day you choose Day 2 Knockdown Spring Fatigue, etc. The game starts on March 29th and lasts until April 9th. If a young person cannot join the game right at the beginning, they can start later and also play the games from previous days.
When the game ends, what happens then?
To boost young people's motivation, prizes have also been set up. The grand prize is tickets to Tartu Adventure Park. But that's not all; wireless headphones, beach towels, water bottles, and much more will also be raffled off. Winners will be announced on April 21st, and they will be contacted via email. The more games played, the higher the chance of winning. Prizes will be drawn among all participants, and the grand prize among the most active participants.
