On April 29, a one-day spring youth camp organized by the Tartu Youth Work Camp took place, during which young people gained experience and knowledge about the nature of the camp and the beautiful and well-maintained area of the Tartu Canoeing and Rowing Club.
Specifically, this year, Tartu Sport was the partner for the Youth work camp, and young people were able to carry out maintenance work in the area managed by them.
According to group leaders Arlette and Ronja, who participated in organizing the spring youth work camp, the main goal of the spring youth work camp is to introduce new young people to the work of the youth work camp and what a typical day there looks like. Marten, 19, who has been involved with the youth work camp for five years, and Laura, 17, who has participated in the youth work camp for two years, shared their experiences of participating in the core group during the one-day youth work camp.
According to the young people of the core group, the organization of the spring youth work camp generally went well; people were in good spirits and worked diligently. The young people felt that the first-ever spring youth work camp was very successful, with many young people interested in the camp joining in addition to the core group members. After working, everyone moved together to the Anne Youth Centre, where the nature of the youth work camp was introduced in more detail, people got to know each other better, and games were played.
Registration for summer groups takes place from May 16th to May 22nd at the link: https://tntk.tartu.ee/tartu-noorte-toomalev/registreerimine.
