Today, May 17, at 12 noon, young people will have the opportunity to apply for this year's Tartu Youth Work Camp.
Young people aged 13-19 registered in the city of Tartu can register for the Tartu youth work camp. Registration is open until May 23rd. This year, a total of 17 youth work camp groups are planned, and approximately 210 young people are expected to get work. The youth work camp groups are listed on the Tartu Youth Work Center's website at https://tntk.tartu.ee/tartu-noorte-toomalev/ruhmad/.
The youth work camp offers an opportunity to gain first work experience in a supportive and safe environment. Work is carried out in groups, allowing young people to also gain teamwork experience. Furthermore, they have the chance to develop social skills, as group leaders organize joint activities after work.
The main tasks for youth work camp participants include maintenance work, assistant work in service, on farms, in event organization, and harvesting garden and field produce. Workplaces include local governments, non-profit organizations, commercial companies, sole proprietors (FIEs), and business organizations. Workdays last 4-6 hours per workday, depending on age and employer's capabilities. Youth work camp groups last 7-21 days, depending on the group.
Registration for the youth work camp can be done through the Spoku environment https://tartu.ee/kotoetused/malev
