"Young creators discover 3D" final project meeting in Tartu

In early July, on July 4-5, 2022, the final meeting of the Erasmus+ KA2 project  „Young Creators Discover 3D“ took place in warm summer Tartu. The project days were held at the Tartu Youth Work Center premises (in the Anne and Lille house rooms). All three participating countries attended the meeting: Robotikos mokykla (School of Robotics) from Lithuania, Baltijas Reģionālais fonds (Baltic Regional Fund) from Latvia, and Tartu Youth Work Center from Estonia.

The purpose of the project meeting was to hold the final gathering before the project's conclusion. The main focus was on reviewing the fulfillment of project conditions, supplementing and checking reports, and so on.

In addition to work, colleagues also got acquainted with the life and work of the Tartu Youth Work Center, our colleagues and youth rooms, as well as the city of Tartu.

Within the framework of the Erasmus+ strategic cooperation project 'Young creators discover 3D', young people from Tartu youth centres can learn more about 3D printing technology. The project focuses on applying 3D printing in youth work to develop young people's technical knowledge and skills, and as a result, training material on 3D printing will be developed for youth workers. Additionally, during the project, workshops will be conducted in each country for at least one hundred local young people, who will have the opportunity to try out the entire 3D printing process themselves and develop their skills to succeed in the future job market.

3D printing technology, or three-dimensional printing, involves building details layer by layer, by adding new material to a previously laid layer. The technology is used for the rapid production of various prototypes and objects from a design.

The project is financially supported by the European Commission from the Erasmus+ program through the Lithuanian National Agency JTBA.
