Second project meeting of “Elevate YOUth Work” in Riga

Youth Exchange “Be Real” 

From September 8-15, the Tartu Youth Centre organized the youth exchange “Be Real”, where young people from Armenia, Hungary, Spain, and Estonia participated. In cooperation between Estonian and Finnish youth, the area under the Sõprus Bridge was made colorful.

From September 5th to 9th, there was a lot of activity under the Sõprus Bridge. Specifically, a large mural, or rather murals, were created there in cooperation with Estonian and Finnish street artists and young people, as several walls, stairs, and even asphalt were covered, totaling over 500 square meters. Specialists working with young people met at Lille Youth Centre

On September 8, a networking meeting for people working with young people was held at the Tartu Youth Work Center on Lille Street. The purpose of the meeting was to learn more about each other's fields, establish new contacts, and find opportunities for cooperation. Read Hour takes place on September 8th

September 8th is International Literacy Day, and to celebrate it, Read Hour, a one-hour reading break, is organized. It originated in 2018 from the Finnish Children and Youth Foundation, with the aim of encouraging people to read for an hour every day, in any form. This is part of the Moomin Initiative "Reading, Writing, and Moomins." This Thursday, September 1, two new youth centers will be officially opened, one at the Anne Youth Center (Uus 56, Tartu) and the other at the Lille Youth Center (Lille 9, Tartu). The Youth Summer Camp has ended for this year. As every year, the Youth Summer Camp concludes with the Tartumaa youth camps' gathering and the nationwide EÕM gathering. In early July, on July 4-5, 2022, the final meeting of the Erasmus+ KA2 project  „Young Creators Discover 3D“ took place in warm summer Tartu. The project days were held at the Tartu Youth Work Center premises (in the Anne and Lille house rooms).
