Tartu Youth work camp is looking for new employers for the summer

The Tartu Youth work camp is looking for employers for the summer of 2021 who would be interested in offering work to young people in Tartu. The Tartu Youth work camp is a summer activity outside of schoolwork, aimed at young people in Tartu aged 13-19. The camp gives young people the opportunity to gain their first work experience, meet new interesting people, and acquire knowledge and skills necessary for future life. The main tasks for the camp participants include various repair and maintenance work, harvesting garden and field produce, general landscaping and outdoor work, and assistance at festivals and events. The length of a workday is 4-8 hours, depending on the age of the participants, and the working period is a total of 7-21 days. Typically, one group consists of a minimum of 10 young people. Anne Youth Center is looking for ideas for yard renovation

The courtyard of the Annelinn Youth Centre has been in its current form since 1969 and requires renovation and modernization. It is a rather large area in Annelinn that could be utilized much more effectively than it has been so far. Since there are many apartment buildings and the Alexander Pushkin School in the vicinity of the youth centre, a well-planned active leisure area would benefit many. Over the years, many ideas have been submitted within the framework of the participatory budget for what could be built in the Annelinn Youth Centre area, so this territory is important to many. In addition to activities on online channels (Discord server and Instagram STORY environment), winter sports competitions were held in the courtyard of the Ilmatsalu Youth Center from January 4 to 8. Similar to the "M1N1" multi-event, which readers may already be familiar with, this was not a competition between young aspiring professional athletes, but a fun sports competition that provided excitement for all participants and spectators. For the first time, however, the entire week was dedicated to an active lifestyle, which attracted an exceptionally large number of participants! Discussion of improvement proposals for the Tartu Youth Work Centre's development plan takes place on Zoom

Tartu Youth Work Centre has completed its development plan. Before its full completion, the institution awaited amendment proposals and comments from Tartu city residents as part of a public display. A Christmas party was held at the Anne Youth Center on December 11!

On that day, the youth center was especially festive, decorated with garlands, handmade snowflakes, and other Christmas decorations. In addition to the usual activities, many interesting workshops and various surprises awaited the young people. On that day, the young people made a cake with their eyes closed, baked and decorated gingerbread cookies, and participated in two Christmas games, several circle games, a workshop for making gift cards, dancing, and, of course, a surprise gift! The Anne Youth Center also received a new table tennis table and air hockey table for Christmas. Of course, all the young people got together for a moment to enjoy delicious pizza, sweets, and mandarins.
