On December 15, a joint exhibition by youth and youth workers will open at Jakobi Gallery

The youth and youth workers of Anne Youth Centre will open their joint exhibition titled "Around Christmas in a Painting" at the Jakobi Gallery of Tartu Children's Art School (Jakobi 52) on Monday, December 15, at 3 PM. Although the title refers to Christmas, the exhibition does not focus on the Christmas theme. The exhibition centers on a playful insight into oneself and the perception of beauty, and what young people and youth workers consider beautiful and how they convey this beauty in their works.

The exhibition will remain open for three days and culminates on December 17th at 5 PM with an art auction of youth works, organized within the framework of the Entrepreneurial Youth Center program. The proceeds from the auction will be used to purchase sports equipment chosen by young people to support their active lifestyle and well-being at the Anne Youth Center.

Margit Kink, director of the Tartu Youth Center, is delighted that youth workers have offered young people interested in art the opportunity to take a step into the world of professional art and experience participating in a real art exhibition and auction. Kink adds: "Young people who do not attend art school do not often have such opportunities, which is why this experience broadens the horizons of the youth center's young people and gives them the courage and confidence to share their creations."

All interested parties are welcome to visit the exhibition from December 15-17 and support the creativity and entrepreneurship of young people.

Students from Annelinna High School visited the Lille Youth Center

The Lille Youth Center, part of the Tartu Youth Work Center, offers young people a wide range of opportunities for participation and personal development. Schools are welcome to visit us for project days or to encourage their students to join our clubs. The clubs operating at the Lille Youth Center include the Hiking Club, Cooking Club, Book Club, Career Club, and the sex education club “Seks vä?”. In addition, we organize city-wide major events, where we welcome young people to actively participate in the organizing teams.

Creativity is on the rise in the Youth Capital: Loomehüpe is returning for the third time this year

Tartu, European Youth Capital 2026, invites young people aged 14–26 to apply for the Creative Leap project, which aims to support young people’s creative potential and personal development. Eligible applicants are young people who are registered residents of Tartu and wish to develop their strengths and discover their creative potential through summer projects. Let’s celebrate the Tartu Youth Work Center’s eighth anniversary together!

The Tartu Youth Work Center will turn eight on May 2, 2026. We will celebrate the birthday together with the youth on Tuesday, May 5. The center’s director, development manager, project manager, administrative manager, executive assistant, and information specialist will visit the youth centers. The Tartu Work Brigade is opening its anniversary exhibition today at the Tartu City Museum!
