Our New Me Studio is one year old

The year is coming to an end.

This is our studio's first year.

This is the first year of work, ideas, emotions, and changes.

It is wonderful that these changes have proven beneficial to us and attracted more participants.

We are grateful to each of you who came, discussed, disagreed, supported, debated, and shared your experiences. Thanks to you, through your reflections, advice, and suggestions, we became more interesting to you. Through receiving feedback, we transformed your wishes into new meetings, new interesting discussion topics, and new workshops. We made beautiful gifts (for ourselves and friends), learned to prepare new dishes and follow table manners, played games, and learned a lot about stress management.

We hope that all these lessons, big and small, and the time spent with us in the studio, were remembered as well-spent and fun. We learned to communicate and share emotions. And that is also very important. Ultimately, some came with friends and some came alone. But it's great that everyone left with a positive attitude. Or rather, no one wanted to leave.

Friends, we invite you to our studio's last meeting of the year. A festive pre-Christmas gathering. Christmas is a time of magic and gifts, isn't it? And our studio is no exception. We have once again prepared some surprises for you. It is probably worth mentioning that we have taken your wishes into account and are organizing this meeting on the weekend, so everyone who is busy with classes and training can definitely participate and enjoy the Christmas magic!

The meeting will take place on Saturday, December 20, at 1 PM at Annelinn Youth Center (1st floor).

A mobile youth center will be on the move in Tartu this summer

From June 1 to September 1, the Tartu Youth Work Center is launching the MoNo bus—a youth center on wheels—as part of a pilot project, bringing youth work to young people at their everyday gathering places. The Voice of Youth in the Action Plan

Actively involving young people in developing the youth center’s action plan is an important step in fostering their sense of participation and responsibility. Children aged 7–11 are able to successfully express their interests and ideas when provided with a safe and supportive environment. One effective way to do this is through a monthly brainstorming session, during which young people can freely suggest activities and topics. Young people’s opinions matter and have a real impact on the life of the youth center. In addition to the idea generator, it is important to gather ongoing feedback on daily activities to understand what resonates with young people and what needs to be changed. The youth worker’s role here is to guide: to help make ideas more concrete, then link them to an action plan, and involve partners as needed. Students from Annelinna High School visited the Lille Youth Center

The Lille Youth Center, part of the Tartu Youth Work Center, offers young people a wide range of opportunities for participation and personal development. Schools are welcome to visit us for project days or to encourage their students to join our clubs. The clubs operating at the Lille Youth Center include the Hiking Club, Cooking Club, Book Club, Career Club, and the sex education club “Seks vä?”. In addition, we organize city-wide major events, where we welcome young people to actively participate in the organizing teams.
