On February 1st, a network meeting of the youth prevention activities working group took place at the Anne Youth Centre
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Tartu Child Protection Service, the Education Support Services Centre, the Social Insurance Board, the Police and Border Guard Board, and the Tartu Youth Work Centre.
The common target group for the network is young people active in Tartu city, and the objective is to focus on preventing risky behaviour among youth and to conduct more effective outreach in children's, youth, and educational institutions, offering a helping hand to the community in difficult situations, and being more visible in the city landscape. This is pursued through joint information days, seminars, and events, thereby ensuring the well-being of Tartu city's youth.
The aim of the meeting held on the first day of February was to increase the effectiveness of network cooperation, focusing on network creation, its regularity, and other substantive aspects. This led to identifying commonalities in bottlenecks, but also discussing daily cooperation opportunities, such as preventing and reducing school bullying, and collaboration points at Tartu City Children's Protection Day.
