Spring break with Tartu Youth Work Center April 24-28, 2023!

Spring has arrived, and the end of April is already looming, which for schoolchildren clearly means one thing – SPRING BREAK! It has become a tradition for the Tartu Youth Work Centre to offer something fun and not so ordinary for young people on this occasion, and so it is this time too!  

We are celebrating spring break from April 24-28, which is Monday to Friday (centers are closed on weekends). Every day, activities will take place across our youth centers, within the city, or even across counties! As usual, activities are voluntary and free! However, for certain events, prior registration or parental consent is required.   

 

On Monday, all centers are open, and youth-led initiatives will take place in each center.

On Tuesday, there will be a visit to AHHAA (registration at youth centers), and the centers will be open, organizing activities – a competition day.

Visit to Ahhaa from 1 PM to 4 PM. Gather at 1 PM at Ahhaa (at Anne and Lille at 12:45 PM), participate in a chocolate workshop at 1:15 PM.

Register at the youth center and be quick, because spots fill up fast! 

On Wednesday, there will be an outing to Võru and Põlva counties (registration at youth centers or online, find details on FB or the website, parental permission required), Lille and Anne centers are open, an Ukrainian photographer will visit, and we will get acquainted with Portuguese culture.

 

We will visit Värska Farm Museum, Meenikunno bog, have a picnic there, and on the way back, we'll also pop into Põlva Youth Centre! Participation is free!
What's even cooler! Põlva Rural Municipality Youth Work Centre will join us at Meenikunno bog and for the picnic! We'll spend a wonderful spring day together outside Tartu!
NB! A signed consent form from a parent is required!

On Thursday, a city camp will take place in Anne; other centers are closed.

At 2 PM, a yoga workshop in the mat room. 
At 3 PM, Budo club
At 4 PM, a pizza workshop led by an Italian chef
At the same time, crafts can be done at the youth center. 

On Friday, we will celebrate Walpurgis Night in Ilmatsalu; other centers will be closed. We will hike, grill, and play!

Students from Annelinna High School visited the Lille Youth Center

The Lille Youth Center, part of the Tartu Youth Work Center, offers young people a wide range of opportunities for participation and personal development. Schools are welcome to visit us for project days or to encourage their students to join our clubs. Let’s celebrate the Tartu Youth Work Center’s eighth anniversary together!

The Tartu Youth Work Center will turn eight on May 2, 2026. We will celebrate the birthday together with the youth on Tuesday, May 5. The center’s director, development manager, project manager, administrative manager, executive assistant, and information specialist will visit the youth centers. Together, we’ll eat cake, play games, and do Kahoot!
