Soon, from October 2-8, all Tartu city residents at least 14 years old or those attending school in Tartu will have the opportunity to cast their vote in the participatory budget election.
This year , we are participating in the participatory budgeting vote with idea no. 9 – "Jogentaga School and Anne Youth Center encourage physical activity."
❓ Why support our idea?
The area between Anne Youth Center and Jogentaga School on Papli Street is separated by fences, giving it the appearance of a dark and dreary place to an outside observer. Our idea offers something for the whole community. We want to bring freshness and life to the area and create a pleasant place for everyone to exercise and spend their time meaningfully.
💡 What do we want to achieve with this idea?
- Basketball and volleyball courts, which are comfortable and safe for playing ball, and which would replace the current asphalt-covered and dilapidated courts;
- Remove the fences separating the school and the youth center to create a unified, open, and integrated area;
- To add seating areas so people can rest and spend time comfortably;
- Add street lighting to make the area comfortable to use during evenings and dimmer hours.
💪 In the participatory budget vote, you can give your support to up to 3 ideas. Help change the face of Tartu for its residents and cast your vote from October 2-8 on the https://www.volis.ee platform.
