Young people to work in a youth work camp for the summer.

The Tartu Youth Work Camp is looking for employers who would like to offer young people a great summer work experience. The aim of the Youth Work Camp is to offer school students aged 13-19 the opportunity to spend their summer holidays in a developmental way. Youth camp participants work in groups for a period of 1-3 weeks, assisting with garden and farm work, maintenance, in shops, landscaping, and many other positions.

This year, we are also offering work experience to young people who have arrived in Estonia from Ukraine. In addition, we plan to create a work camp group for young people with additional needs, where the instructor would be someone with the necessary knowledge and skills.

But why should one hire young people? Precisely because young people are our future and current employers, entrepreneurs, taxpayers, and active members of society. If youth work education is started early, they are more likely to become active participants in the labor market and entrepreneurial individuals. Kärt Karhunen, the manager of Lemmatu Berry Farm, who has hired youth work camp participants for years, also confirmed the benefits of hiring young people for both the young person themselves and the employer. According to her, providing young people with their first work experience is essential, and additionally, young people can become potential consumers of their products. Among other things, a company can also promote itself with the help of the youth work camp.
