Youth Work Week with Tartu Youth Work Center

From November 13-19, the 13th nationwide Youth Work Week will take place, with this year's focus on environmental action. The Tartu Youth Work Centre will also host activities during Youth Work Week for young people, youth workers, the community, and cooperation partners.

Call to schools and youth centers:good messages– prepare cards with positive messages with your student council, class, or simply at the youth center, put them on the walls of the school building/youth center, and enjoy the feeling of praising someone with kind words!
Open Doors Week at the Centres: We invite teachers, other specialists working with young people, and parents to visit the youth centres during Youth Work Week to get acquainted with the centres' activities and staff. Simply drop in during the opening hours of a youth centre that suits you!
We introduce our work to students – come and shadow us! Waiting to shadow them are Siim, administrative manager of the Tartu Youth Work Center; Helene, development manager; Helen, project manager; Maarja, director of the Anne Youth Center; Elen Hermanson, director of the Ilmatsalu Youth Center and MONO coordinator; and Sära Sthella Tohv, youth work specialist at the Lille Youth Center.
What is job shadowing? Job shadowing is a one-on-one meeting with an employee of the Tartu Youth Work Center, offering an opportunity to learn about their profession. A job shadow participant can take part in meetings, administrative tasks, and other activities planned by the person being shadowed for that day. Job shadowing can last half a day or a full day, but this can be arranged directly with the person being shadowed. If interested, please write to helene.toomeoks@tartu.ee.
