Tartu Children's Day is looking for co-organizers! (2021)

From May 3, outdoor events for up to 150 people (divided into groups) are permitted. More detailed information about the restrictions in force can be found here: https://www.kriis.ee/et/uudised/valitsus-leevendab-jark-jargult-covid-19-piiranguid-alates-26-aprillist

Due to restrictions, there has also been a change in the organization of Tartu City Children's Protection Day, and the outdoor learning day on June 1st will take place a little differently. Because of the restrictions, the family festival will not be held in Tartu city center, and activities will be spread out in the courtyards and outdoor areas of co-organizers.

We invite institutions and organizations operating in Tartu to contribute to the Children's Protection Day event!

The main goal of the outdoor learning day is to offer students developmental activities and new knowledge outside the school environment. The approximate time for activities could be 10:00-15:00. The outdoor learning day program is suitable for various workshops, sample training sessions, pop-up performances, and similar activities. All offered activities should be free of charge and can be either pre-registered for specific groups (classes, families) or open to casual visitors.

For organizations that wish to participate in the outdoor learning day but lack sufficient space, we also offer the opportunity to cooperate and continue the logic of the worlds – this, of course, in the yard or premises of a nice co-organizer.

We await more detailed information about the activities from co-organizers (activity, time, location, illustrative picture, etc.) by May 9th.

In addition to the outdoor learning day, we are planning to create an adventure trail in the city of Tartu, which can be completed within a week. The adventure trail would be completed using a phone app. The activities/points of the adventure trail should be completable/accessible within a week (preferably, the points should be outdoors). For example, an adventure trail point could be the opportunity to try slacklining in Keskpark or play table tennis at the Lille youth center.

If you would also like to establish or offer an experience trail point, please send us the information by May 9th at the latest.

For questions or to register, you can contact TNTK project manager Elisabeth Jänes (tel +372 53 037 733, elisabeth.janes@raad.tartu.ee).

This approach goes beyond merely taking into account differences in origin, gender, abilities, or orientation; it is aimed at removing barriers, expanding opportunities for marginalized and minority groups, and ensuring their full inclusion in all activities. School Break City Camp – One Day, One Place, Lots of Fun!

We put together a varied program for every school break, but City Camp Day is the most special day of the entire break. On this day, Tartu’s youth gather at a single youth center. While all five centers are usually open, during City Camp, activities take place in just one location. This gives young people the chance to visit a place they might not otherwise go to on a daily basis
